National Fraud Helpline appeared on ITN News as part of a feature on the 12 Cons Of Christmas.
Our senior partner Martin Richardson was interviewed by ITV’s consumer editor Chris Choi about how to avoide falling victim to scammers.
One of our clients, who fell victim to a fake jobs scam, was also spoke to Chris about her experience. We managed to recoup money for the victim.
National Fraud Helpline regularly appears in the media with the aim of issuing warnings and advice on how to avoid fraud.
Mr Richardson said: ‘We strongly believe that our role isn’t just to help scam victims recover their money.
‘If we can help prevent someone from falling victim to fraud than that is a very important.
‘National Fraud Helpline has been set up with the expressed inetention of leading the fightback against fraud.’
The ITV news feature showed how AI can be used as a tool for scammers to con people out of money.
