What has happened to Action Fraud?

Action Fraud no longer officially exists and has been replaced by Fraud Report. The idea is that the new service offers a better fraud reporting system for victims.

Does Report Fraud help scam victims to reclaim money?

The new service is not focused on fraud recovery. The idea is that it will help police and anti-fraud services identify fraud trends and bring fraudsters to justice .

While it will help put victims in touch with police forces to start criminal investigations which, if successful, may be able to help recoup lost funds.

However, it does not hold itself out as a way of scam victims recouping their money.
